Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has developed a novel “kNOw Touch” contactless panel to lessen the risk of coronavirus transmission whilst using an elevator.

As effort to fend off the pandemic, HKPC has developed a touchless button solution named “kNOw Touch”, for the public to minimise the risk from getting the virus through touching the potentially contaminated panel surface inside the lift. Fear no longer.
Innovation
- Users can just select the corresponding floor by pointing their finger at close range without touching the panel.
- It features a set of infrared distance sensors installed near the control panel of the lift and calibrated according to the distance and layout of the lift buttons. Users can select the corresponding floor by pointing their fingers at the floor buttons at close range.

- This cost efficient technology only requires a small twist without the need of vast mechanical alteration to perform.
