Problems of nowadays energy storage systems and the battery including 1) system fail due to malfunction of cooling fan or air filter, 2) light load inefficient power conversion
Innovation
- Deep integration of 3S (PCS, BMS & EMS) to unify the data platform and multiple operating modes with system efficiency over 90%.
- Rack-mounted natural (RMN) cool design power conversion system based on heat pipe and multilevel modular power stage topology
- Two-dimensional power (2DP) control to increase light-load efficiency which is the most common loading condition
Key impact
- Total project amount HK$14.4M with contribution of HK$7.8M
- 6 sets of 125kW Energy Storage systems are installed in the Industrial park (750kW/1,392kWh). Annual electricity consumption of the Industrial park is about 8.4M kWh in which the peak-to-valley differences is RMB$1.16/kWh in Zhongshan
- Obtain economic benefits through the electricity price difference and reduce the electricity cost of enterprises. The Industrial park is expected to save RMB$1.06M annually by installing the Energy Storage system
