
CUHK AIoT Lab has developed a novel HD map construction method ""VI-Map for autonomous vehicles, fusing roadside infrastructure perception to enhance and broaden their vision.
Leveraging infrastructure, VI-Map seamlessly integrates roadside sensor perception with vehicle perception to automatically construct HD maps in real time, significantly reducing mapping costs while ensuring timely and accurate map updates.
