G-NiiB Liver Goal Formula (SLD07)

Overview

Developed by CUHK Faculty of Medicine, Liver Goal Formula (SLD07) is a novel synbiotic targeting the gut microbiome. Formulated using faecal metagenomics and clinical data, it combines specific probiotics and prebiotics. By regulating liver metabolism, it aims to reduce severe liver fat problem (MAFLD) and repair liver scars. Clinical study proved that liver fat score and liver stiffness score significantly reduced. The formula has been enhanced with vitamin E for superior antioxidant liver protection.

Problem addressed

Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a common metabolic liver disorder, and its prevalence continues to rise with obesity, insulin resistance, and unhealthy dietary habits, creating a significant medical and social burden. Its key features include abnormal lipid accumulation in liver cells, liver inflammation, oxidative stress, and an increased risk of fibrosis; as the disease progresses, it may develop into steatohepatitis, cirrhosis, or even liver cancer. At present, there is no single drug that can completely cure it, and there remains a major unmet need for effective therapies targeting metabolic dysfunction, dysregulation of the gut-liver axis, and related inflammatory mechanisms. Early detection and intervention are crucial for reversing disease progression.
