Problem addressed

Currently, there is no cure for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and none of the medications have been shown to be more effective than the others. We suggested a pharmacological treatment that addresses the key causer (i.e. Amyloid β-peptide in the brain) in the pathogenesis of AD.

The accumulation of protein plaques and fibrous nodules (i.e. amyloid β-peptide and tau aggregates) in the brain will lead to rapid death of neurons and deterioration of brain function. The modified HLJDT can reduce the accumulation of these matters, making it a potential treatment for neurodegenerative diseases like AD.
